This old tarnished silver sugar bowl
is lovely just the way it is
and it complements the
hand painted demitasse porcelain cup.
For a bit of contrast the cobalt

Inspiration, Pansies

Inspiration, Pansies
8" x 10" original oil painting
gallery wrapped stretched canvas

Available in my online store

I'm always inspired by pretty pansies
with their cheerful faces in
overflowing pots or in my garden.
Whether they are in full bloom
or as buds about to burst as
they hide amongst the leaves.
They beg to inspire!

Pansies have inspired Arts and Literature
for many years.
Even William Shakespeare's play
A Midsummer Night's Dream
referred to the juice of a pansy
blossom in Act II, Scene I.

Legend says that all pansies were white and
it was not until they were pierced by cupid's arrow
that they gained the purple and yellow colors.
